2009 - IPS Ghana Mushroom Cultivation Project
International Permaculture Services Ghana held a Mushroom Training Project organised for seven rural communities in Ghana.

2008/2009 - Ghana Moringa Plantations and Nurseries
In the year 2008 Paul Yeboah dreamt about Nature"s Medicine Cabinet called "Moringa oleifera". In many African languages called "Never Die". Moringa is not new, it has been known for centuries by people living in tropics areas of the world. Moringa tree has proven itself as a powerful indigenouse resource for fighting against hunger and malnutrition.
In the year 2008 Paul Yeboah started doing communities Moringa plantations in one of the regions of Ghana called "Brong Ahafo Region"and now has three thousand farmers (3000) and three hunded communities are into this project and the project is ongoing.
Paul Yeboah is given moringa seeds free to communities into groups and associations and holding workshops/training and seminars for these communities about cultural practices and the numerouse uses of the tree "MORINGA"
Moringa promises relief from the devastating diseases and malnutrition and hunger that are so rampant in the Africa and Africa American communities such as:
1. Diabetes and complications leading to kidney diseases.
2. Obesity brought on by malnutrition (over fed - under nourished).
3. High blood pressure, stroke and heart diseases.
4. Tumour and cancer.
5. Lupus, Arithritis and other Auto immune diseases.
6. Glaucoma - Blindness.
7. Skin Diseases
8. Prostate Enlargement and prostate cancer.
9. Hepatitis, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Irritable bowel syndrome.
Moringa is best known as an excellent souce of nutrition and a natural energy booster. It is loaded with nutrients, Vitamins and Amino Acids.
Moringa is not a hyper intense sugar - based energy source. As it helps reduces blood pressure gives you good night sleep.
Moringa leaves are good animal fodder.
Moringa is good for alley croping and good to reprenish degradable lands to arrable crop land.
The seeds are good water purifyer for communities at the rural areas suffering from water born diseases like (Guinea worm and Bulili urcer).
In the so - called developing world moringa leaves, pod or leaf powder have become very successful as a nourishment for small children, pregnant or nursing women. Moringa has been known to bring relief from HIV and AIDS, Malnutrition and diseases caused by bad water, bad food and environmental toxins.
Moringa is timely chosen by Paul Yeboah in Ghana as a project running by Permaculture in Ghana and being pledged in the year 2008 in the UNEP billion tree planting campaign for 30,000 trees planted and given IPS GHANA recommandation letter for Donnor Support and lagally to use their LOGO in addition to IPS logo as well.

2007 - Ghana Permaculuture Design Certificate Course
The course had 38 students from a diverse group of organization including:
Heifer International Ghana
Kumasi Institute of Tropical Agriculture
Care International
Habitate for Humanity
Peace Corps
Abrono Organic Farming
Organic Agriculture for Public Health and Wealth
Techiman Bussiness Advissory Center
Kranka Islamic School
The course was run and taught by Greg knibbs IPS Australia and Paul Yeboah Ghana IPS
Outcomes:
The out come from the course are students know how to design and implement permaculure practice on much of the land in Ghana where large areas are eroded and deforested and exhausted from synthetic chemical farming practice.
Student now can design for the following sytems:
-Intense home food gardens
-Food Forest
-Animal Systems including the chicken tractor system
-Forrest Sytems for short and long term sustainable timber harvesting and revegation of natural forrest systems.
-Water Harvesting
- Erosion Control and Flood Repair
- One of the main important skills students have now is to be able to design and carry out earth repair of erosion in the urban and rural areas caused by heavy tropical rains and flooding.
Now students can repair the landscape and prevent erosion of lands and houses and at the same time by selecting and planting the right species of trees and shrubs for food or fodder an fruit and firewood the areas become green and cooling and shading.
The other positive function is the reduction of hot winds in the dry season.
Over all the technique of swales or diversion channels have a positive effect on the local environment.
At the same time water harvesting will happen to recharge the ground water.
We need to teach many more people in Ghana and Africa to carry out earth repair techinquies
The Philippines
2006 - 12-Day Permaculuture Design Certificate Course
Permaculture Course for Indophil Resources and Sagittarius Mines Inc
Tampakan in the southern Philippines copper and gold project.
The course was attened by employess of the project and local community development workers that the project supports and staff from the matcuri research and demonstration farm.
The course was run to increase the effectinness of the local communities to enhance their livelihood projects.
Ghana
2002 - Consultancy and Training
The Trip to Ghana was organised to run two design courses at the Benedictine Monastery of Kristo Buase in the Techiman District of the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. It is situated in the transition area between the Forest zone in the south of the country and the Savannah zone in the north. The Standard Design Course also included redesigning the 55 Acre farm with Permaculture plans for functionality, productivity and sustainability.
The Philippines
1997 - Consultancy and Training
IPS Managing Director Greg Knibbs has spent considerable time initiating and working on projects in the Philippines. This includes Permaculture teaching and training in various local community organizations. Importantly, successful projects were run teaching the Higaonon Tribe in Habiugan, Impasugang Bukidon, in the highlands of Mindano. The four groups of photos below show different elements that were worked upon. Click for more details on each.
